Among the sacred places to visit are the Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria
di Castagnola in the center of the suburb of Chiaravalle, it is the first
gothic structure in Le Marche; l’Eremo di Fonte Avellana is a fountain
representing the eternal as rendered by Dante in the XXI canto of the Paradiso;
and finally the magnificent Chiaravalle di Fiastra a Tolentino complex,
epitome of Cistercian hospitality.
